Why me?

I have a unique power of education, persuasion, and support

I understand risk, growth, building communities, and how we can translate our experiences into stories. From my experience in IT sales and account management, I know how to explain highly complex and technical products, services, and concepts in ways that are immediately relatable and actionable. From my teenage years, helping my older brother through addiction and incarceration, I deeply appreciate and embody the values of mentorship and peer support, because I’ve seen the difference it can make to have someone in your corner. I believe that when we relax, zoom out, and take a broader view, we can discover patterns and connections we didn’t see before.

I tell stories that drive action

I believe in celebrating victories, turning weaknesses into strengths, and finding joy in the continuing pursuit of excellence. Teaching is in my blood – my parents were both educators – and I’m translating my early love of entrepreneurship into an engine of self-actualization, helping others better know themselves. I’ve seen how people can move forward propelled by the power of storytelling and self-awareness. I also believe that the most powerful stories are the ones that drive us to act. I transform ideas into realities, and I challenge my partners, customers, and other stakeholders to do likewise.

In growth and self-improvement, I believe the journey is the destination

From my beginnings in Dallas, through my college years at the University of North Texas and my formative years in DC, and in my current work building partnerships in the fitness and wellness communities in Los Angeles, this “African Cowboy” sees everything in life as a journey of progress. Growth comes from informed confidence, self-awareness, and useful stories. I’ve built Montage based on what I’ve learned in my own journey, and it’s designed to streamline that process for you.

I promote shared knowledge, collaboration, and community

Another crucial ingredient for growth is having the right support. I believe in collaboration over competition, and that the pursuit of excellence is a group activity. That’s why Montage is built to help communities publicize their activities as they grow bigger and stronger through using the tools that the online experience provides.

These challenging times are teaching us to appreciate the urgency of staying connected, as well as the importance of physical and emotional health. It has taught us to use new resources to sustain and strengthen our bodies, our minds, and our communities. Montage will help usher that appreciation for information, communication, and community into an exciting and fruitful new era.
